Love Your Neighbor As Yourself

Making Real Change One Step At A Time

Our ultimate mission is to see real change in the lives of those we serve. We aim to break the cycle of poverty and provide hope for a better future. Whether it’s through our thrift store, food pantry, or garden, we are here to serve our community and make a difference. Thank you for supporting us as we work.

God has been so good to us and our many missions. We are grateful for all He provides. Every day we witness how provision, love and support from so many change lives. If you feel God tugging on your heart to get involved with any of our missions, please contact us. We would love to chat with you!

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Bill joined Helping Hands in 2005 as our Executive Director. Prior to joining Helping Hands, he spent 12 years with the Benton County Sheriff’s office and several years in retail. He has spent the majority of his adult life working in positions which served the community and finds satisfaction in the good deeds Helping Hands does.

“It’s awesome that we can make a positive impact on people’s lives on a daily basis”, he said. “The way the community has supported Helping Hands over the years and continue to support us with donations and all those who shop in our store, continue to allow us to be a hand up, not a hand out”.

Who We Are

We are a non-profit organization committed to helping those in need. We assist in various areas that the government and other organizations can not because we receive no government money. This way we are able to apply monies in most any area and toward any situation that might arise in Benton County.

Our volunteers and staff work hard to provide assistance to people from all walks of life. Our volunteers work in the Food Pantry, where we give out 40-45 bags daily feeding between 80 and 160 people each day. Volunteers also help man our thrift store by helping at the cash registers, stocking the sales floor, helping out customers, and maintaining its exceptionally clean appearance.

Where We’re From

Our thrift store came to be, out of necessity for a local organization to assist those who have come to be in need in this county. Donors like you give of their household items like clothing & furniture, electronics, etc. for our thrift store to sell at a reasonable price. It is these donations that generate funds to help this community. In 1976 our neighbors came to the rescue by donating good quality merchandise. In that year we were able to assist those in need with a total of $760.00.

Where We’re Going

Today we give out, on average, more than 2 million dollars in aid every year! As you can see, the generosity that started our company is still alive and growing every day.

Since coming to the aid of our neighbors in 1976 by becoming a ‘Helping Hand’ themselves, through donations, contributions, purchases and their kind words, our community has assisted Helping Hands in its continued growth and provisions for the needs of Benton County. We are so appreciative for all of your help!

The thrift store and our assistance programs continue to grow each year to meet the growing needs in our community. Thank you for your support as we work to make a difference in our community!
